Bell’s Palsy – Condition Resources

Bell’s Palsy affects approximately 1 in 5,000 people per year in the UK; it is a condition whereby one side of facial muscles suddenly become weakened.

Important to know: Chronic health conditions should be addressed under direct medical supervision of your GP or consultant, and acupuncture would be an adjunct or complement to usual care – we advise that you let you doctor know when you use this approach.

Clinical trials tentatively suggest acupuncture may be as effective as corticosteroids and may improve recovery alone, or combined with medication.
