Helen Smallwood

Helen Smallwood qualified from the College of Traditional Acupuncture (Warwickshire) after three years’ training. She has a Licentiate in Acupuncture and a First Class honours degree (BA) in Traditional Acupuncture accredited by Oxford Brookes. Her degree is validated by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board BAAB.

She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and therefore bound by their codes of safety and ethics. She carries full professional indemnity, and public liability insurance cover. The clinic premises are licenced by Bedford Borough Council. Helen is licensed by Bedford Borough Council to carry out acupuncture at the Shaftesbury Clinic.

Helen is the Regional Group Co-ordinator from the Bedfordshire branch of the British Acupuncture Council.

Philip has recently been elected to the Governing Board of the British Acupuncture Council, and is also the Regional Group Co-ordinator of the Northampton Branch of the British Acupuncture Council.

Acupuncture has always been an essential part of his life as his father Sidney Rose-Neil was one of the leading pioneers of acupuncture in this country and the founder of the British Acupuncture Association.

Philip frequently lectures at national conferences. He lectured at the 2012 British Acupuncture Annual Conference with the BAcC past chairman and president Ronald Bishop. He has addressed the United Nations on health issues representing the United Kingdom.

Louise England – trained for 3 years at The Acupuncture Academy, in Leamington Spa and was awarded their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture. The training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese Medical and Acupuncture theory, including moxibustion, tui na, and gua-sha with a focus on the five element approach. This means I am able to consider your main health problem, as well as taking a more holistic approach to you as an individual. I can treat a full range of issue concerns and conditions and have a special interest in muscular skeletal conditions, migraine headaches and arthritis and joint pain, including sciatica.
